World Bowling Writers is an international association of Tenpin Bowling journalists. PR personnel, industry leaders and bowling federation officials, all dedicated to serving the media worldwide with news and information on this growing sport.
Our Aims
We wish to provide all the media with updated information on national and international tournament results, upcoming important events and profiles of star players. Through our membership representing all three zones which are governed by the World Tenpin Bowling Association (WTBA) and the Federation Internationale des Quilleurs (FIQ) - Asia, the Americas and Europe, we are able to assist all media representatives with comprehensive information and assistance with all facets of our sport.
Members with e-mail connection receive two issues of Worldletter-Plus each month, a newsletter providing information of tournaments and events.
World Bowling Writers
The association was formed in 1977 by Mort Luby, Jr., publisher of Bowlers Journal magazine in Chicago, USA. There were originally 25 Charter Members with Keith Hale of England the founder President.
Current officers are: President: Hazel McLeary, Canada; Zone Vice-Presidents: Hans Karlsson, Sweden for Europe; Lynne Clay, Australia for Asia; Lucas Wiseman, United States for the Americas.
Administrator: Bob Johnson, United States. Assistant Administrator: Keith Hale, England.

Membership to World Bowling Writers is open to all media representatives, public relations personnel and federation officials. The annual fee is $40.00, payable in U.S. funds to Luby Publishing, Inc. at the address below. Payments by Visa or MasterCard or check in U.S. funds only can be accepted.
